So, like NINE days later, I’m feeling better.
Man. That SLAMMED me to the ground.
I don’t even know WHAT I had! I’ve HAD inlfuenza, and this wasn’t that bad because I didn’t have the cough or wheeze.
Just
TIRED and achey.
What IS that?
I’m still coughing. An annoying, dry cough. The kind of cough that really bothers you if somebody does it in a movie theater or in the cubicle next to you.
cough.
I have become so good at this annoying cough that I can do it with my mouth closed.

My Mother-In-Law, Mary Poppins, brought this to me.

The Midshipman is coming home Tuesday, bringing all his University Germs with him. I hope those germs can fight whatever is going around in THIS house!!!

I’ve worn the same pajamas for the last 3 days. I missed a shopping trip. I have no appetite.
I must be siiiiiiiiiicccccccccckkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk.

I got a regular flu shot. I don’t work outside my house. I have very few real live friends (as opposed to make-believe friends online). I wash my hands religiously. But that one bug found me.
Not H1N1 (I don’t say Swine Flu……I’m an Iowa Girl.)
More like H0No.

As in
HOOOOOOOOOOO NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. I’m SICKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKk.

But, in the words of my mother….”I’ll be  Fine”.

They are Make-Believe-No-More.

I met some online friends tonight at Megan’s booth at Silver Bella.
Some women were those I wanted to meet and some wanted to meet me.
And there I was, feeling achey and a sore throat, covering myself with anti-bacterial wipes and wishing the evening would come to a quick end.

And then I started meeting people.

Those who knew Megan. Those I knew. And those who knew me.

I am filled up with the love that came to us in the booth in the back in the corner in the dark…….

Yes. It is Friday the 13th.
And, Yes, I have a 13 license plate. Never even think about it. Yes, it was a chosen number.
Those girls at the court house have alot of those 13-s rattling around in the license plate drawer.

Besides. I always get the lucky parking spots next to the Cart Corral!

Where Women Create magazine came out this week and Megan is featured in it. She’s on the cover!
We just love Jo Packham, the editor, and had a great time meeting her when she came to photograph Megan in her studio.

Teresa McFayden and Cari Kraft were also featured in the magazine. We all went out to dinner after Jo & Paula’s long days of photographing in Omaha and Blair.

The cutest Midshipman of all, Matt, was in it!

They did the clean up after a Husker Game. I’ve watched them work. It is hard, cold, wet, crappy, yucky work.
They all have great attitudes and they get better every time!
