Sometimes, the simplest act can be the most important.
Dan and I donated blood on Saturday. It was MY first time, and 2nd for him.

The Red Cross trucks are so visible. I love the simple design.

The Beautiful Durham Scout Center in Omaha

The Boy Scouts hoped to donate 100 pints of blood for the 100th Anniversary of the Boy Scouts

A very capable Scout checked us in.

KETV Channel 7 in Omaha interviewed Dan while he was hooked up.

And Dan appeared on the 5 & 10 p.m. news later that evening.

Lunch at Panera...Soup and Sammiches

We used some neat technology on Saturday
….Our GARMIN helped us locate a Panera Restaurant
….I TWEETED that I was eating lunch at a Panera
….and we set up or DVR to record the Channel 7 news FROM our iPod Touch using WiFi from the restaurant.

But giving blood, that is a tried and true way to save a life. There is no replacement for real blood.
I will donate again.
The Red Cross staff were top notch and made the experience very pleasant.
