This is the SECOND time we shoveled the back patio...Tuesday night....BEFORE the storm.

After 9 more inches of snow and 40 mph winds. It is DEEP!

The wind blows relentlessly here but makes beautiful patterns.

As snow goes, this one was very dry....and it blew around. Front of house is snowfree, but the street is clogged.

Between the light pole and the tree on the right is the street. Unpassable.

The city snowplow was stuck for most of the morning.

Eventually this big front end loader came and pilled the plow out.

It took TEN more hours for that part of the street to be cleared.
Tonight, it will be 10 BELOW zero. Much less wind, thankfully.

Snow Piles + No School + Little Boys = FUN!

is coming. A little Sunday night. Much more on Tuesday afternoon.
No School in Blair. They called it off Monday night. There won’t even be any snow until noon.
I don’t get it.

Back In My Day…….

……there was WAY more snow.
……and we went to school anyway.
……and IF it was called off, we had to do our homework and go to bed ANYWAY and then get up early and listen to the radio and hope and pray they called off school.
……and then we’d JUMP out of bed and go outside!
……wearing NOT state-of-the-art Jackets and Snowpants…..but LAYERS of JEANS
or
if you were COOL
A SNOWMOBILE SUIT!!!
……and after playing, there was homemade hot chocolate. Made with Milk. With Toast. A WHOLE loaf of Toast.
Can’t you just feel the excitement!
Love a Snow Day.
