The Escalator at the Qwest Center is VERY LONG and pretty darn scary if you ask me. It’s no Wild Mouse (long story) but it gives me the queazies to ride it. Thankfully, THIS was at the top!!!

We had NO plans on where to meet, so this was really nice. Megan spent the day at Infotec and I was so proud of her. Dan is president of the board. Kandace runs the place. Dave? hmmmm. I think he was there as eye candy for Meg!!!

I really like the decor of the Qwest Center.

to be a Seal-To-Be.

MOMBASA, Kenya – U.S. Navy snipers opened fire and killed three pirates holding an American captain at gunpoint, delivering the skipper unharmed and ending a five-day high-seas hostage drama on Easter Sunday.

The pirates were pointing AK-47s at Capt. Richard Phillips and he was in “imminent danger” of being killed when the commander of the nearby USS Bainbridge made the split-second decision to order his men to shoot, Vice Adm. Bill Gortney said.

“I’m just the byline. The real heroes are the Navy, the Seals, those who have brought me home,” Phillips said by phone.

The rescue was a dramatic blow to the pirates who have preyed on international shipping and hold more than a dozen ships with about 230 sailors from a variety of nations.

Thanks, Meggie. That’s another thing I can cross off my bucket list. I’ve seen these macaroons on many other blogs and I always wanted to try them.

The thing is…..
The LAST time I was in San Francisco……

*I had a few nice phone calls from my Navy Seal this week.  He’s very busy, but called to tell me a couple of nice things about his day.
Thanks, Matt, I LOVE hearing all your funny stories.

*After spending several days in Omaha helping Megan, I was home tonight with Dan. I made dinner AND Banana Cake for dessert. I hope the house smelled like home to him after finishing a very VERY long week.

*Dinner Wednesday night with so many creative people my head almost exploded!

*According to our neighbor at TheLake, our dock has been put in!
Yippeee, summer is in sight.

But FIRST….
Friday
Partly sunny and breezy
High: 61° F
Sunday
Snow, accumulating an additional 1-3 inches; windy and colder.
I think Northeast Nebraska and Northwest Iowa is going to really get socked with this snow.

*I just read that work will begin this summer on a stretch of I-29 between here and Okoboji.
GREAT.

My FAVorite thing in the world is Road Construction. I comment on it here frequently.
Don’t get me wrong, I am NOT a Driver with Road Rage.
I just get HIGHLY PEEVED when I have to drive through so-called Construction Areas and NO WORK IS BEING DONE.
Just Barriers and Signs.
I wonder if the Orange Cone Companies just come and set them up for NO REASON!

I wonder if THIS would make the drive better…..

It caught my eye the other day when I drove past it on a car lot in Omaha. Wowser!!!

Megan’s neighborhood is in shock from the apparent murder-suicide across the street.
The local news channel satellite trucks were on location in front of her house for several days.

Channel 7 had a prime location for their live shot.

Megan and Dave were both interviewed several times.
