Read the Sunday Paper....haven't done that for a long time!

I usually read the papers ONLINE. Today, coffee in hand, we read the paper and watched tv.
CBS Sunday Morning (the last several weeks) and a great series on PBS about the early days of Television.

We laughed all afternoon!

Dan’s favorite section is the comics. He found this one and asked who the woman was….

We didn’t laff so much at this one.

The day was SO BEAUTIFUL. Perfect temperatures, no humidity or wind. Perfect.

This caped motorcycler was a Football Fanatic!

Husker Elvii greeted us in the dorm elevator.

We tailgated at the Governor’s Mansion.
Governor Dave was flipping burgers and dogs and Miss Sally was saying hello to everyone at the door!
We sat at one of the few tables in the shade.
Omaha Mayor Fahey and Iowa Governor Chet Culver were sitting there too!
Great conversation with Chet about Iowa, the floods, Boy Scouts and the beauty of Iowa.
He’s going Pheasant Hunting in Carroll soon!

We recorded the ball game and watched it Sunday night….and we noticed Matt got in a few of the shots!

Matt ate a rasher of French Toast

Matt was at the Lincoln Airport on Friday with the Navy ROTC group. They were meeting the crew of the two helicopters that flew over the Husker Game Saturday night and looking over the CH 53 Helicopter.
They didn’t get to take a ride, gosh darn it!

Dan was flying back from Kansas that afternoon…and since Matt was at the airport already……and since we were going to the game Saturday anyway…….Dan just picked up Matt and brought him home for a home cooked meal and a sleep in his own bed!

Matt wanted French Toast.
Funny.
French Toast was what I ordered after I had been in labor with him for TWO DAYS and then finally got to eat!
Best Meal Evah.

Saturday, he got up early and went to the High School to help with Tech Work on the stage. He helped with some lighting.
He really misses that……….

Look how nice the dog looks in my fall decor!

It was time for a change of seasons in the house. I have developed and hope to patent a unique decorating style. If done correctly, you only have to re-do it 2 times a year!
For fall, holiday and winter, I use BLACK! I put up my neat black trees and add a few seasonal things here and there. Right now, it’s white pumpkins and purple flowers.
Then, when Thanksgiving comes around, I’ll change out the pumpkins to Snowmen and add some WINTER sparkle. That stays up until……February…….Then, it changes to RED!
And up go the red geraniums.
Until Fall again.

Above the TV

This took ALL AFTERNOON. Up and Down a ladder. To the Garage. To the Basement. Up and Down again.
And while I was working and creating, I was listening to BAILOUT on the TV and SCREAMING at them.
Journalists and so one-sided. The Politicians are Bloviating. And the Pork is starting to SMELL.
The Bailout gives me heartburn.

But then I had to listen to ELMER FUDD. And I almost moved to Russia.
And the Bloviating Yesterday at the Senate Hearings. That makes me want to vomit. The Higher Than Anyone Senators sit up high and bloviate ALL DAY. Those hearings make me sick.

I’ll go back to playing house. Dontcha love my spider?!
