I don’t care HOW old you are!
Your birthday week is pretty fun.
Last year, I celebrated the whole MONTH.
This year? Just a week.

We’re going out Friday night with my favorite second grader, her parents, and maybe the kids. I’m not sure.
I’m trying to decide where to go!
So many great restaurants in Omaha.

No school (Wednesday) due to extreeeeeeeeeem cold. Wind chills in the area will be up to TWENTY FIVE BELOW zero. It’s pretty bad.

I’m also not really expecting much in the way of gifts this year. I usually get my OWN gift from Dan and I found something really great on Ebay that came a few weeks ago. I’ll open it on Friday.
My parents want me to pick out something and I put a bid on some great glass cannisters but some STINKPOT bid on them at the VERY LAST MINUTE and won. I was so STEEMED.

I absolutely LOVE clear glass items and I comb ebay and antique stores for clear glass pieces. DANG I wish I would have gotten these!!!

Hmmmmm. Other present ideas………

It’s kindof fun to dream!

Hard movie for me to watch. I’m still teary from seeing it tonight.

I wish I had had this movie a few years ago. It’s full of insight into the world of exceptional children. How hard it must be for them and ways they cope.

And they do.

And so do the mothers…….who carry it forever.

Navy Seal did his Eagle Scout Project this morning.

This pile of wood

became these 20 Bluebird Houses for DeSoto National Wildlife Refuge.

And there was lots of fun in between!

Our friend, Mark Grabbe, spent many hours measuring and cutting the wood needed for this project. His help was invaluable for it getting done.

The bluebird houses are now loaded in Navy Seal’s pick-em-up truck and headed to DeSoto next week.

Next up? The PAPERWORK!!!

has been keeping track of how many days we have been together.

today,
February 14,
is the day that I have been WITH him
longer
than I have NOT been with him.

Starting tomorrow, I will have spent more days WITH him than WITHOUT him.

Isn’t that romantic?

cause I’ll be watching Oprah.
It doesn’t come on until FOUR here in Blair.
So I have to wait all day.
Until it comes on.
And I have it TIVO’d.
Just in case I forget to watch.
Which won’t happen.
