I tried homemade pizza again tonight. I’ve tried a few times, and we also had it on Christmas Day…..but it wasn’t perfect.
I came close tonight. So close, in fact, that in my joyful eating, I forgot to take a picture!

I used special flour from King Arthur, and their recipe. I made the dough in my mixer with the dough hook and it works great. I let it go for about 5 minutes….
This is what made it so good…
Roasted Garlic!
I roasted a head of garlic with a little olive oil and salt. Wrap it in foil and roast for about an hour.
I also made some onions…sauteed until they are dark and sweet.
And I browned some hamburger.
And cut some tomatoes.

The recipe makes about 4 pizzas. I froze the extra one.
Step 1. Flatten the dough on a piece of parchment paper.
Step 2. Spread with a little olive oil and then put some roasted garlic on the dough.
Step 3. Put on a few onions.
Step 4. Sprinkle on the hamburger.
Step 5. Tomatoes.
Step 6…..bake it.
(No cheeze for Dan.)
Step 7….put on Pizza Cheese. I use a mix from Kraft, but I also have separate cheeses. I think both work fine.
Step 8. Slide it onto the Pizza Stone in a 500* oven and keep an eye on it. Only takes a few minutes.

We like our pizza thin and crispy.

I use my handy pizza cutter to cut it. Each of us ate about one pizza.

They
were
GREAT!!!

It think the secret was the roasted garlic. It really made it taste rich and sweet.
Try it!!!!
