I drove to Omaha today for a noon meeting.
I was almost in THREE accidents. 2 could have been bad.
Defensive Driving saved me.
I’m totally serious.
Anticipating what another driver might do, watching all the time, driving the speed limit, paying attention, not talking on a cell phone…..all important for safe driving.
It’s something we need to think about
at
all
times
when on the road.
I wonder if this means I shouldn’t be playing my David Cassidy music so darn loud in my MomVan?!

I agree. and to everyone else who is reading, I will also add:
ALWAYS SIGNAL.
ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS.
signal if you are changing lanes
if you are turning
if you are merging and your lane is ending
even if no one is right behind you
even if no one is even in SIGHT–just get into the habit of doing it EVERY TIME.
there is nothing to lose in letting the other motorists know what you’re doing, but everything to lose in not.
I was also almost wiped off the road TWICE by douchebags on the road who did not signal in this weather. I just hate it. it is completely selfish.
boo.

I was also almost wiped off the road TWICE by total jerks on the road who did not signal in this weather. they probably don’t signal in good weather either because they aren’t in the habit. I just hate it. it is completely selfish. I get serious road rage when people do not signal.
boo.
