…hire one!
When we last left our TV set, it was sitting on an antique coffee table, stained with nailpolish remover, but nevertheless valuable in my heart…..awaiting the arrival of a new base.

My new TV base pretty much matches the rest of the woodwork, it has deep drawers for all those dang game thingies of Matt’s, and it fits.
But BEST of ALL, the TV is BOLTED to the BASE, so there will be no accidents by un-named family members!

to my first boyfriend!

He’s playing concerts this week in England, with the Osmonds and a few other groups. I bet it is pandemonium!

Dr. Bagby called Dan and I to ask us to chair the Community Gift Division of the Memorial Community Hospital Capital Campaign.

And we couldn’t say no.
And then we asked some great people to serve on our committee and they said yes.

So, tonight, we had a meeting and learned more about the future plans for our hospital.

And I told my "story" of how I gave birth 21 years ago and stayed in room ONE. My Omaha relatives came to see Megan and asked what room we were in.
Room ONE.
ONE-what? they asked.
Room ONE. Just 1.
Other people in the room had similar stories and a few had even stayed in Room ONE.

The neat thing about this group happened when we were leaving. Several were on their way to a City Council Meeting to talk about another project. Another person had been at a meeting about something else in the city before they came to our meeting.
Busy, involved people
get
things
done.

I love that the Omaha World Herald has started doing more photography on their website. But THIS article takes the cake.
It’s about some Omaha 5th graders who went to Washington D.C. for ONE day! Read the story and then click on the audio story in the sidebar on the right.

(The word SIDEBAR is one I remember from my dayz as a journalist, a hundred years ago, when writers used typewriters and the news was written only once a day and they checked sources and didn’t editorialize or use heresay and gossip….the sidebar was just some more information useful for the story!)

Lookie who is is People Magazine!!!
