Book3
This is by my oldest friend.
She’s an artist. She was born that way.
And now, she’s an author.

How
cool
is
that?!

I’ve ordered her book.
A few months ago, she cooked spaghetti sauce for me and mailed it overnight for a party I was having because she is Italian and I’m not and her recipe is better than Ragu in a Jar.
And we met in 4th grade. I was new. She was new the year before.
She is small and dark haired and Italian and from a big family.
I am taller, red-head, Irish and from a small family.
She had sisters everywhere at her big old house. We played in the attic for hours. We debated David Cassidy vs. Donny Osmond vs. Bobby Sherman vs. Michael Jackson. Her house was loud and full of voices and people and love. My house had love, too, but was smaller and quieter and less chaotic. We loved both our houses.
We are still different.
I think I color INSIDE the lines.
She colors OUTSIDE.
But we still are friends.
For something like 36 years!!!

Congratulations to you, Laura, on the publishing of your book.
I hope I can make it to a reading!!!

I’m controlling our VAST CD collection from my computer chair.

We’ve had this Slim Device for a while, but I’ve never "learned" how to use it. Last night, Dan showed my how to listen to music and I’m loving it.
Truth be told, I’ve only listened to ONE CD….The Partridge Family Christmas CD. I especially love the Words to "My Christmas Card to You". I’ve even used them on our Christmas Card this year.

I took some photos of the kids and sent a few to Tara to have her "photoshop them up". She did. I then chose the best one and ordered them from Shutterfly!

Easy Peasy.

Speaking of EASY, we are having Customer1 do our Christmas Lights this year.
The guys put up the lights.
Then they will take them down in January.
And
Store
Them
Somewhere
Else
Not
My
Garage.

Now, if an elf would only come and do all my IRONING!!!!

….and I know the right person!
www.redmittens.com
is now an active site. You don’t have to use the typepad url anymore.
Dan says it’s FM.
I say it’s just plain magic!!

"To our enemies….Do Not Be Joyful.
To the people of Iraq…Do Not Be Fearful.
To the men and women in uniform….Do Not Be Doubtful"

It’s the day after.
And everything is different. Yet it is the same.
Change is hard for me.
So many ideas out there. I hope this change is the right thing.
Because I remember those towers.
And I respect those who have lost their lives…and who fight today.
And I’m still mad.

So, to those now in government~~~~I am hopeful that we will do the right thing.

…of spending quality and wonderful and fun time with my favorite and bestest daughter.
….of glue and glitter.
……of really terrific teachers.
……..of talented and motivated and friendly artists.
………..of "I know you. I read your blog" and putting names with faces.
……………of girl time.
It was a great event. I’m tired. I’m glad to be home.

And I’m sure glad I went!!!
