Lots of changes here…..including the weather.
My tickets came today.
To a Broadway Premier.
In New York Ceety.
The Rat Pack is Back.
written, produced, and starring…….
David Cassidy!
My sweetie is taking me there to celebrate our 20th Anniversary.
What a guy……..
By that, I mean Dan.
Not David.
(big grin!)
Matt and Dan……playing backgammon.
No TV, no music.
This is what I see when I’m sitting in my chair.
Matt’s winning, by the way.
I have no patience for games like this, so I’m glad Dan is the game player in the family!
Had a Thanksgiving Dinner run-thru today.
I got an organic turkey from Whole Foods and brined it according to the directions from Cooks Illustrated magazine.
It went really well! I also used their gravy recipe….with a few adaptations and their pumpkin pie recipe.
I made a loaf of bread, too.
Took me ALL afternoon! And it was really fun.
Here’s what I SHOULD be working on, though.
I’m trying to learn Photoshop Elements 3.0 and then scrapbook the hundreds of pictures and ideas I have in my head.
Only takes time.
wink
wink.
Today, the wind was a constant 35 miles an hour. This photo was taken just a few days ago, when the air was still.
Below, you can see a picture of a METAL FLAG BRACKET that actually BROKE OFF because of the constant wind.
If I could, I would have three or four flags flying all the time on my front porch. But I can’t.
The wind is just too strong.
Oh, and right across the street there is Miss KraftFairy’s beautiful home!!!
The cute hubby and I are home again! We spent the last few days in Naples, Florida, attending a "telephone man" meeting.
It was an internet vacation for me!
I planned much of what I was going to do BEFORE we went….right here on the internet!
I visited a scrapbook store called Scrapbooks, Etc. There, I bought a new (to me) product called Technique Tuesday.
They are out-of-this-world clear stamps for scrapbookers.
I also got the Digital Designs for Scrapbooking book by Renee Pearson. I still want the other Digital Scrapbooking book.
We stayed at the most beeeyouuuuteeeeeful old hotel in Naples…The Inn on Fifth.
We ate at a restaurant where I could eat every night and never tire….Bistro821.
I went to the Village Shops and dined at Marie Michelle…..and I had CRAB….and I sat outside on the WATER….Oh I felt soo cool !!!! (wink wink)
While at lunch, a woman was walking around with outfits on from a nearby store. Kinda wierd….
I had so much fun in Naples.
It was great to getaway.
But even greater to come home.
And cook. And relax. And enjoy my own home in my own state.
Nebraska.
(Oh, I’m new here. I’m really from Iowa.)
News Flash……I’ve lived in Nebraska ALMOST as long as I have lived in Iowa!!!
More news soon on the Big TWENTIETH ANNIVERSARY trip!!!
