I LOVE magazines.
I’m an addict.
I keep them for months and then go through them one more time before I get rid of them and tear out my favorite articles and ideas and photos.

This weekend, I’m reading

Cook’s Country (we made the Monkey Bread!)

Paula Deen

My kitchen is a total mess. I should post a photo.
I’m a messy cook by nature, but my kitchen is open to the whole house, so I can’t just leave it "for the fairies to clean up" as my mom used to say!

One thing I love to do is bake bread. I’ve been experimenting for years for a great reciep, and I think I finally found one I like. Wouldn’t you know, it’s from the back of the Bag of Flour! I’ve tweaked it, though. I make it in the bread machine and then bake it in the oven.

Rustic Italian Bread
1 cup warm water
2 T Olive Oil
2 1/4 cups Bread Flour
1-2 T Wheat Flour
1 T Sugar
1 T Honey
1 t Salt
2 1/4 t Yeast

Mix on dough cycle in bread machine and let rise. Take out, knead for a minute, and then form into round or oblong ball. Oil and place on cookie sheet. Let rise again until doubled.
Bake in hot oven, 360* or 375*.

This bread does NOT KEEP well, but it is really easy and even better tasting!
