I

I’m waiting for the Trick or Treaters! I’ve got a basket full of Kit Kats and Snickers.
The bottom photo is the spider web we have hanging in our entryway.
It’s spoooooookeeeeeee!!!

………Added later……..
I did NOT like the boys who were tying a kid to a street sign pole and then pretended to kick him and leave him. Two of them tried to run into our house when I had the door open for legitimate trick or treaters. Several of them came to our door, wanting candy.

I don’t understand why they do this.

Oh, and the best line of the night?
Two little girls who came and were disappointed with our KitKats and Snickers.
"Oh, that’s all?" said one girl. "Last year you gave Rice Krispie Bars!"

Well, then.  I’ll make a note of that for NEXT year!

All in all, it was a fun night. Lots of really cute kiddos.

Img_8256_editedThis is Scout.

She is 6 years old.

She is never without her ball.

Never.

Hey Cari, thanks for the great Pampered Chef party!!!!

I got the bed to myself last night.
Technically, it’s MY bed.
It’s my dowry……the ONLY thing I brought into our marriage! I bought it when I moved to Blair for my first REAL job.
I paid $50 a month for it for 12 months.
And, it is a WATERBED!

Dan and I love it. We have changed the mattress to one with baffles.
We love that it is heated and soft.
We think about getting a "big kid" bed sometimes.
But, then we travel, and we sleep on a mattress.
The first night, it is fine.
The NEXT night is when we start to miss our soft water mattress.

Anyway, last night I slept like the old days.
In the middle!

My sweetie took me to Omaha today for a lark!
Actually, he called and asked if I wanted to go visit HCI and Ensite (two HunTel companies).
Sure!
It was spur of the moment, not something we do very well. Especially me.
At least I was out of my pajamas!
So, he came and got me and we drove on this beeyouteeeful fall day to Omaha and visited.
Then we came home and he took me on a terrific date to the last Blair Football Game.
Matt looks like he has such a great time. I hope he is.

I made an apple pie today.
We ate it after the game while we watched Survivor and Apprentice.
"All FOUR of you are Fired".
Wow!!!
Didn’t see THAT coming.

Martharules
I just read this book in two days. 3/4 on the airplane home from Florida the day before the hurricane hit and the rest tonight.

I was also listening to Bette Midler’s new CD of Peggy Lee standards. Pretty toe-tapping good!

Martha’s book is goooood.
It got my blood pumping. It’s full of great advice for anyone looking to be an entrepreneur.
I am not one, but my husband and his family are. I’m more of a get a good job and keep your mouth shut and invest in the company retirement plan.

I also got one for Megan.
